Finding the Rhythm: My Journey through 24/7 Parenting
First Puzzle Unlocked
About six years ago, I became a mom for the first time. Life has changed a lot since then. In the beginning, being a new mom came with many challenges, like figuring out how to live with a baby. As time passed, I moved from taking care of a baby to handling a toddler and then a preschooler. When two more little ones joined our family, it became about managing the dynamics with more kids. Parenthood, I’ve learned, is an ongoing journey filled with questions and happy chaos!
Thinking about it now, the question seems simple, but as a new mom, it was a real challenge for me back then. I’m sure other new moms feel the same way. Being an unschooling mom added another layer of challenge — no nursery, no school. Plus, for a long time in my motherhood journey, I lived overseas without family or friends nearby. It was tough, but it’s amazing that just after six years, I can easily answer that once puzzling question.
I want to share what helped me find the answer. Now, I know how to create a daily routine, visualize it, and make things run smoothly. There’s still room for improvement, but it’s not a big problem, not as tricky as it was when I had a four-month-old baby.
Navigating Motherhood with YouTube Day Schedules
When I first stepped into motherhood, YouTube became my go-to guide. I discovered day routines shared by fellow moms, searching with keywords like “Day routine with a 4-month-old baby” and adapting month by month. As my family grew, my searches evolved to “routines for toddlers and a baby” or “2 and under.” I delved into unschooling daily schedules, morning and evening routines, and more.
Watching these videos answered questions I couldn’t quite put into words. When my oldest was 2, I wanted to know how mothers handled having a baby and a toddler. How do you manage both, get them to sleep, and spend quality time together? Seeing other moms in action provided the answers I needed.
